Sam & Elizabeth: 7.17.10

July 19, 2010

Another great wedding! The day was planned very well by Sam & Elizabeth. Elizabeth had a gorgeous dress, and then switched into another gorgeous Asian-styled dress at the reception. They both looked like they were made for her. We did all the photos before the ceremony again (so great!) and headed to Gettysvue for a f…un reception. These people really know how to party, let me tell you! They were ALL dancing and having a blast…not just the youngins! The night ended with great sparklers and a limousine ride. Congrats, guys!

What a fun time! We headed to Nashville and met these two at the War Memorial Plaza downtown. We love new locations! We went around downtown and took some photos of the two of them before the wedding, which is always nice! We loved how we had PLENTY of time for photos beforehand. That makes it so much easier! After a short rain (it always happens!) we headed to the plaza for the ceremony. The sun setting over the Capitol building and the sounds of the steel drum band was perfect (and reminded me a tad of my own wedding!) The night closed with a reception with lots of dancing and music by Knoxville’s own, Tall Paul. Congrats, guys, and have fun in the Dominican Republic !!

Congratulations to Lindsay & Carson who are on their way to Myrtle Beach! I’m jealous. ;-) Anyway, they had a great wedding and the rain held off once again for their beautiful ceremony.  Lindsay was cool and calm all day! My sister-in-law and niece-in-law did the girls’ hair.   We took most of the photos beforehand (so much easier) and then made our way to the reception with fried chicken, vegetables and fruit, all prepared by Lindsay’s mother and grandmother! Some of you may remember the Subaru WRX I had a year or so ago…well Carson is the guy that bought it from me. This is such a nice couple and we enjoyed their wedding day. Good luck to you two!

We were so glad to be a part of this wedding!  Harley and Gretchen are great friends, and we were so glad to be a part of their big day.  We have known Harley for years, as a friend, a roommate, a co-worker, a drinking buddy, etc.  Gretchen is a perfect match to keep Harley grounded and is a great friend herself.  You two are perfect for each other and we had so much fun on your wedding day. It was such a perfect day at Butterfly Gap- what a beautiful wedding spot!  We were able to catch some perfect moments and enjoy the reception as guests, as well.  What more could we ask for?  We always have so much fun at the receptions but can’t help but want to join in the fun.  Today we got to!  We love you guys!!!

This wedding was so pretty!  It was very elegant and traditional, but we had a feeling there was a party to come.  It took a bit, but the party started later on.  The location was perfect!  It was a friend of the family’s farm.  The house and grounds were perfect!  Jennifer and Phillip were great to work with too!  The wedding party was pretty big, but everyone was right where we needed them.  We had a fun time and love having new locations to shoot!

We headed to Dandridge, TN, yesterday for Heather & Brandon’s wedding at Goose Creek Bed & Breakfast. It was a great day….everyone was easy-going and super nice. We got some great shots! The real party started after the wedding under an awesome tent with a great DJ. We enjoy watching people have a good time. Congrats Heather & Brandon!!

This one is so funny because it is the bouquet hitting the floor between the two girls who are trying very hard to avoid it.

I’ve known Casi since 6th grade. We went to middle school together, then, in high school, her family moved to Georgia. We were great friends and had some fun times together chasing after boys and going to basketball games!! It was a pleasure for me to be a part of her wedding day. She amazed us all with her talent in doing her own flowers, cake decorations, bouquet and ceremony decorations! Check out the paper flowers hanging from the ceiling in some of these pics. Anyway, it was an awesome, super-laid back wedding, and I hope they have a blast on their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic!!

What a great day for a wedding!  I must say we all had our doubts and were slightly worried about the weather.  We got some rain briefly early on and then a bit during the reception.  It really couldn’t have been much better!  We got a nice mix of sun and clouds.  The clouds kept things cooled off for the beautiful outdoor wedding.  Adam and Kimberley are such a great couple!  We were so glad to be a part of their wedding day.  They were both so easy-going and great to work with.  They put lots of personal touches into their wedding…homemade programs, landscaped center pieces, and they even did their own flowers!  It was such a pretty wedding and Twin Cedar Farms is a great place for an outdoor wedding!  Thanks for letting us be a part of your wedding!

We are so thankful for the opportunities given to us by on-air personality Gretchen of Star 102.1 in 2009.  We had a great time photographing Dancing with the Knoxville Stars,  Star 102.1’s Boomsday Event in the Sunsphere, and now Gretchen’s wedding planning contest!  Please go here and help Gretchen pick a wedding cake for her wedding by voting for your favorite one.  These beautiful cakes were made by Rosa’s Catering in Knoxville, Tennessee.

December Wedding Day

December 5, 2009

I enjoyed being a part of Carrie and Joe’s wedding day on December 4.  We had a great session after they got married at the Grist Mill in Norris.  They brought their two little sweet dogs, too.  We braved the cold and had a good time.  It wasn’t too bad, about 45 degrees I think.  Congrats, guys!!
