Yesterday’s wedding was very pretty and went smoothly.  It seemed like  a relaxed wedding.  Ashley and Chris had a good time.  Luckily the wedding was indoors.  The poor guys were burning up in their wool suits the short time we went outside, but they laughed and goofed off.  It was a nice wedding to photograph!

We shot another beautiful wedding yesterday. For once, it did not rain on us, but the sun was blazing! Nobody melted or really even complained much. They were just happy to be getting married, I guess. Eric and Kelly got to share the day with lots of good friends and family. Thanks for letting us be a part of it!

We got some great shots at Kelly & Eric’s wedding yesterday.  It was really hot, but everyone worked through it.  They braved the heat and were all such troopers for pictures!!  Kelly & Eric are off to Hawaii today!! Congrats!!

I met Kelly, Eric, and their new baby, Lexi, at Market Square for some Engagement pictures.  We had a good time running around and wore out poor Lexi.  Eric and Kelly are getting married this coming Saturday.  Stay tuned for a wedding preview soon!  Can’t wait for Saturday!

We shot a beautiful wedding Friday at Concord United Methodist Church. Dan & Kathy were laid back and easy to work with! Here are a few of my pictures.

Engagement Contest

June 11, 2009

Congratulations to Laura Beth and Eric!  They received the most votes from our contest.  They will receive a free engagment session at Long’s Drug Store and Sequoyah Hills.  Thanks to everyone that took the time to vote!

Here is Laura Beth and Eric’s full story she sent us:

“A fun engagement session would have to start at Long’s Drug Store.

We both work there, and that’s where we met. I had always wanted to work at an old-fashioned soda shop because my parents both worked met at a similar store. Eric had to come back three different times, but Eric was persistent and eventually got the job. Right before we finally started dating, I decided to mop one night and help Eric out. (He usually gets that job.) Unfortunately, I picked up a greasy mop and completely messed up the floors.  I caught wind of it first and sent Eric a text warning him about it. He replied and invited me to lunch, and from that day forward we had lunch three days a week.

I think we should take pictures at the soda fountain drinking a Long’s milkshake. Also we should take one with the mops, since after all the greasy floors got us together. We could also get pictures in the pharmacy. I could be working and he could be distracting me- which pretty much sums up our relationship!

We secondly have to get pictures made in Sequoyah Hills: It is kind of our place.

Eric and I went for a long walk there right before we started dating, and that’s where I fell in love with him. As we were walking, he asked me about who I was in high school and about my family. I tried to take all of me in. When we got back to our cars, we just stared in each others’ eyes. We rambled on, trying to prolong the night. I knew at this moment he was the one. Two weeks later we were planning our life together. I told Eric this a few weeks after we started dating, so he proposed to me there on Friday, March 13. (That’s right.. Friday the 13th!) It is my favorite spot in Knoxville.

It took us two weeks to say I love you and start planning our future. I want our engagement pictures to capture this as well as our fun attraction for each other. Wedding planning has been perfect so far. I have a wonderful man who brings out the best in me, and I know that I will spend the rest of my life in his arms.”

Best of luck to all of our entrants!

Cute Family Photos

June 9, 2009

What a fun family session today!  The boys were both so well-behaved, and I loved their curls.  Addison is their newest addition.  She is less than a month old and adorable.   I can’t believe I’ll have one that little again before long.  Thanks Angela and David for letting me do your family pictures!  You have a good-looking family.
