Holiday Time

November 29, 2009

We have been doing lots of sessions with the holidays in mind.  It didn’t seem real until I took some with Christmas decorations and a Christmas tree.    I had a good time, again this year, with Kara and her family.  Evan is their newest addition.   He was so good during pictures and Chloe is a great big sister.  Congratulations guys!

Baby Isaac

November 19, 2009

We were so happy for the arrival of Isaac William on November 16, 2009. Ashley & Jason are so excited!! They are very good friends of ours, and Ashley is a HUGE supporter of Expressive Moments. Thank you!! Isaac weighed 7lbs, 13 oz, and was born at 6:18 PM. I am thankful that I got to be there to watch the miracle of life!!!! It sounds cheesy, but it really was AMAZING!! He is so precious and has the cutest lips ever. ;-)

In the Family

November 16, 2009

We have done lots of family photos lately, but this family is actually a part of my family.  Steve and Kari are my husband’s uncle and aunt.  I’m glad we finally got a chance to do pictures.  We’ve been trying since early spring, but life has seemed to get in the way.  Meredith and Grant were great and didn’t complain.  They have really grown up fast!  It was great to see you all!

The Other Dawsons

November 16, 2009

I posted a blog last week of the Dawson family, and I got to photograph another part of their family yesterday.  Taylor and Blake were great models.  Taylor was a natural from the beginning. Blake was a little slow to warm up but then, after watching his sister, put on a smile and started posing. The fall colors are just about gone, but we managed to find a few colorful pockets here and there.  I don’t think they will be around much longer.  We have been so lucky to have this beautiful weather and beautiful colors to photograph in.

Another Family Session

November 16, 2009

Kristy and I have been really lucky to have had the opportunities to photograph all of these families this fall!  I had another great session in Maryville yesterday.  Catrina, Rodney, Tanner and Joe were great!  Joe, the smallest boy, was a little photographer in the works.  He kept picking out awesome spots for shots of him.  He was thinking of stuff I didn’t even think of!  What a cutie.  Here is a preview of their pics.  Keep checking back, there are more to come!  We’ve been very busy!

Double Trouble!

November 15, 2009

I met Mandy and Chris today for family photos.  Their twins, Nolan and Jonas, are two.  I have one two-year-old and thought getting pictures of her was tough.  Two proved to be a bit harder.  I’m sure that’s true for most things when there are two.  We also had their baby cousin to add in the mix.  The boys were great, and we managed to get some cute ones.  I know Mandy was doubtful.   The adults all got a workout, chasing the boys to the creek, dancing, and throwing leaves.  I’m sure we were smiling even if the boys were a tougher audience.  They are adorable!

Facebook Contest Winners!

November 14, 2009

A few weeks ago we ran a contest giving away a free session for one of our Facebook fans.  Missy and her family were our lucky winners.  I was excited to see Missy and Courtney again.  When I was teaching school, Courtney was in my 1st grade class.  She and her mom were both always so sweet.  Five years later and Courtney has really grown up.  I enjoyed getting to meet Courney’s brother, Justin, and his girlfriend, Amber.  Justin is leaving for the Marines in another month so I’m so glad I was able to do some family pictures for them before he leaves.  Thanks so much for coming out and best of luck to Justin in the Marines!

Another Year Older

November 9, 2009

I had the pleasure of doing photos again this year for Lane and Evan.  It is fun to see how much kids can change in a year’s time.  Lane is much more mobile this year and kept me on my toes. They are both so cute!

Cutie Lucas

November 8, 2009

I met up with little Lucas and his mommy and daddy today in Maryville.  I’ve known Lucas’s mommy, Caroline, since 6th grade.  We have some great memories. Lucas was such a good boy for his one-year old photo session.  He didn’t cry at all!  I just LOVE his big blue eyes.  They are gorgeous! Caroline, you’re gonna have to fight ‘em off with a stick.

Fall Maternity Photos

November 2, 2009

I am so glad Mary Katherine and Ted decided to do some maternity photos.  Mary Katherine has an adorable and tiny belly!  I can’t believe she only has five weeks to go.   I kept having to find new angles and asking her to stick her belly out.  I know she feels differently about it, but she looks great!

This next one is a joke.  Ted likes to call the baby Cletus, but he is named Eli.  We had to add this for a laugh.
