We got to meet sweet little Gavin yesterday and do some newborn pictures. We shot Gavin’s parents’ wedding last October, and we’re so glad to continue to photograph their family. He was such a good baby. He LOVES his pacifier. As long as he had it, he was an angel. That’s so awesome to be able to soothe him so easily with it! What a doll. Babies, babies, everywhere! Let me tell you, I’ve got the fever. It seems like everyone I know has one! That just means I’ll get plenty of practice, right?

Kristy & I were up early this morning for the Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk.  It was COOOOOOLLLLDDDDDD…..about 24 degrees at 7:45 A.M. !! We bundled up and toughed it out with some hot hands and hot chocolate.  There were so many cute doggies dressed up for the season.  That was my favorite part, of course.  The rest of the pictures are here and can be ordered up until January 12, 2010.  Please allow a few days for us to get ALL of the photos up. …and they’re off!

I think this guy was 2nd place. 1st place guy was too fast for me to catch…ha ha ha. Good job on running a 5k in under 13 minutes….in 25 degree weather…….WOW.

We had a great time last night in Pigeon Forge at The Inn at the Christmas Place for a Christmas Party. It was great to have an excuse to get up there and see all of the Christmas lights. Santa made an appearance at the party and the kids had such a great time. There is nothing better than seeing a kid’s face light up at Christmas. I loved the fact that this company supports a family in need each year at Christmas, too. Such a great thing!!

I had a good time catching up with an old friend, Lauren, a few months ago.  We were good friends back in Middle School and hadn’t seen each other in years.  I was excited to take photos today of their new baby, Reece.  He was such a good baby for pictures and I love the hair!   He did not want to sleep any for us.  Lauren says that’s pretty typical.  He somehow skipped over the sleepy newborn phase.  He’s just saving it up for when he’s a teenager.  It was good to see you again!

I enjoyed being a part of Carrie and Joe’s wedding day on December 4.  We had a great session after they got married at the Grist Mill in Norris.  They brought their two little sweet dogs, too.  We braved the cold and had a good time.  It wasn’t too bad, about 45 degrees I think.  Congrats, guys!!

I had a great session at the greenbelt today with such a sweet family. Josh’s mother is visiting from Vietnam and I’m so glad they were able to get family pictures with her included! Little Ethan was a charm. He did so well and I just love his little smile!

I met up with the Shewmake family for family Christmas photos again this year.  This year, though, they have a new addition!  Xander is three months old and such a doll!  He was the best baby too.  We started at the park and the wind was really blowing.  He didn’t mind one bit and never fussed at all.  Then we headed back to their house and he continued to be perfect.  He finally started whining a bit when he got hungry.  I have a two-month-old and have a hard time calling what I heard whining.  He was the best little thing!  I also enjoyed getting to see his big brother, Hunter again.  He just turned three and was much easier to photograph this year than last.  He gave me plenty of smiles!  Can’t wait to see the kids again at six months.

I loved all the red Jennifer’s family wore!  The colors looked great together and I loved Ciara’s red scarf.  What a neat touch!  It was great to see Ciara again.  She was another one of my students from 1st grade.  She is now in 6th grade.  Time flies!  Jennifer’s little boys were so sweet, too.  Her brothers came out to jump in a few Christmas pictures.  We took them at Jennifer’s place.  What a pretty place!
