I love to take my camera everywhere I go! Yes, it’s heavy and gets in the way, but it’s worth it for the memories I capture. If you know my family, you know that I come by it naturally. I have so many pictures of my childhood, and even to this day, I love to look through all the photo albums that document my life. A picture can bring back so many memories and I can’t seem to get enough of them. I really began to appreciate my own pictures when I had my first daughter, Alaina, a few years ago. Anyone that sees my images of her can see her personality come to life in an instant. That’s what photos should do! They should capture personalities, moods, and moments in time that may otherwise be forgotten. I love doing this for my own family and seeing people’s reactions when I do it for theirs.

The best part of my job is meeting so many new people. I love hearing stories and watching people interact. I have to remind myself that that’s what life is about…living your life, sharing it with others, and taking the time to appreciate the small things in life. This is exactly my goal in photography. I want to capture these small moments in time for you in a way that will last forever.

A little more about me… I have lived in Knoxville for most of my life and am lucky to have a lot of family nearby. Before Amy and I started our photography business, I taught elementary school for about five years. I enjoyed working with the kids but love being home with my daughters now. My husband, Tyler, and I have two beautiful little girls that keep us on our toes. We love to travel…especially if there is a beach involved. Of course the biggest challenge is keeping the sand out of my camera.

One thing I love about my job is what some people may find boring—the technical stuff. I really love to play with lighting in a unique way to make people look great! I know I love the feeling when I look at a certain photo of myself and think, “Hey, I look pretty good in that one.” It is a wonderful feeling, and that’s exactly what I want to do for you. I can’t wait to meet you and I’d love to help you show off images of your beautiful family!

A little about me… I grew up in Maryville, Tennessee, and have a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Tennessee. I worked a few random jobs before Kristy and I built our own business. Although we stay very busy, I love the freedom we have to work at our own pace. I have a wonderful husband who loves to race cars and a new son, Grayson. He means the world to us and I would love to show you some photos of him! ;-)
